You can bring colleagues, family members or the person who helps with your marketing into your organization, each with a role that matches what they need to do. Whoever joins can reach every site your organization owns, with the powers of their role.
Who can invite
Owners and Admins. An Admin can invite people as an Admin, Editor or Viewer; only an Owner can invite someone as an Owner. Before you can invite anyone, your own email address must be confirmed, using the link sent when you signed up.
Sending an invitation
- Open Team from your organization’s menu.
- Choose Invite someone.
- Enter their email address and choose a role. If you are not sure which, compare the roles.
- Enter your own password to confirm it is you, then choose Send invitation.
The invitation email has an Accept invitation button. The link works once, only for that email address, and lasts seven days. There is a daily limit on how many invitations can be sent; if you reach it, try again the next day.
What the person you invite does
- They open the link in the email.
- If they already have a Buildly account, they sign in with the invited email address. If not, they create an account with that address, then open the invitation link again.
- They confirm their email address if they have not already, then choose Accept the invitation.
They become a member the moment they accept. If they are signed in with a different email address, they are asked to sign out and sign in with the invited one.
Pending invitations
The Invitations tab on the Team page lists invitations that have not been accepted yet. To cancel one, choose Withdraw - the link stops working straight away. There is no separate resend button: inviting the same address again cancels the earlier invitation and sends a fresh one, which is also the fix for a link that has expired.
Changing a role or removing someone
On the Members tab, Owners and Admins can change a person’s role from the list, or choose Remove to take away their access to every site at once. Both ask for your password. You cannot remove yourself - ask another Owner or Admin to do it. Only an Owner can change or remove another Owner, and the last Owner always stays.
