Everyone in your organization has one of four roles. A role decides what that person can do, and it applies to every site your organization owns, not to one site at a time.
The four roles
- Owner - everything, including billing and deleting the organization.
- Admin - manages people, sites and designs, and can publish. Cannot see billing or delete the organization.
- Editor - writes and changes content and images. Cannot publish, so nothing they change goes live on its own.
- Viewer - can look, but cannot change anything.

Everyone, Viewers included, can see the spark balance and ask the Buildly team for help. When Juno is switched on for your organization, everyone can chat with it too, but Juno only makes changes for people whose role lets them edit.
More than one Owner
An organization can have more than one Owner, and only an Owner can make someone else an Owner. Your organization always needs at least one: the last Owner cannot be removed or moved to another role until somebody else has been made an Owner.
To hand an organization over, make the new person an Owner first. Once they are, the new Owner can change the previous Owner’s role or remove them.
Choosing a role for someone
Give people the least they need. Someone who writes your blog needs Editor, not Admin. A bookkeeper who only needs to look needs Viewer. You can change a role at any time - see Inviting someone to your organization.
