Your site’s pages come from the design it was built on. A design decides which pages a site has and the order they appear in, and Buildly writes each one from your interview. This article covers how to find and change your pages, add legal pages, and control how each page appears in search results.
Finding your pages
Open your site and choose Pages. It lists every page on your site. Open one to see it and change what is on it in the editor.
Some pages stand for a group: your services, your projects and your blog posts each get a page of their own, all drawn the same way. Those are changed from their own screens - see Services, projects, and blog posts.
Changing what is on a page
In the editor, click any text to change it, or ask Juno to rewrite it. You can also change a picture, update where a link or button goes, and hide a section you do not want. Changes are saved as you go, and the editor has an Undo button.
Adding legal pages
Choose Legal pages from your site’s menu to find a privacy policy, terms, cookie policy, refund policy, accessibility statement and disclaimer. To add one:
- Open the page and write its text.
- Back in the list, choose Add to site.
A legal page with no text cannot be added yet - the list asks you to write the text first. To take one off your site again, choose Remove from site. A legal page is a statement about how your business works, so read it through carefully, or with your adviser, before you add it.
How each page appears in search results
Open SEO from your site’s menu and choose a page to set:
- Page title - the headline search engines show for the page
- Meta description - the short summary shown under it
- Indexing - whether the page is shown in search results at all
Keeping a page out of search also leaves it out of your sitemap, but anyone with the link can still open it. Be careful with your home page: keeping it out of search hides your business from people looking for it, and Buildly warns you if you try. The screen also previews how the page looks when someone shares it. Owners, Admins and Editors can change these settings.
Your menu
Your site’s menu follows the order of the pages in your design. If you would like a different set of pages or a different arrangement, switching to another design is the way to get it today - see Switching your site to a different design.
