Your plan adds a spark allowance at the start of each month. If you have a busy month - a new site, a big rewrite, a redesign - you do not have to wait for the next allowance. The Owner can buy more sparks at any time.
Who can buy sparks
Only the Owner of your organization. Everyone else sees a note on the Sparks page asking them to check with the Owner if you are running low. If you are an Admin or Editor and need sparks for a job, let your Owner know.
How to buy a pack
- Open Sparks in your organization’s menu.
- Under Buy more, choose a pack and press its Buy button. The pack that gives the most for the money is marked Best value.
- Pay on the secure checkout page that opens. This is a one-time payment.
- You come back to the Sparks page. Your sparks are added as soon as the payment is confirmed.
When they arrive, the Owner gets a notification in the dashboard and an email. If you leave the checkout before paying, nothing is added. The packs on sale are listed on the Sparks page, and plans are compared on the pricing page.
What happens to sparks you buy
Sparks you buy stay on your account. They are not cleared when your monthly allowance is added, so a pack bought late in the month is not wasted. They go into the same balance as your allowance, and the Sparks page history shows them as Sparks you bought.
What happens when you run out
Your balance never goes below zero. If your organization does not have enough sparks for a piece of AI work, Buildly does not start it, and tells you so. Nothing else stops: your site stays online, visitors can still reach it and send you enquiries, and you can still edit text and upload your own photos, which are always free.
Buying more versus changing plan
A pack is the quick fix for a busy month. If you find yourself buying packs every month, a plan with a larger allowance may suit you better. The Owner can compare plans on the Billing page, and manage the subscription with Manage billing. When the plan changes, your sparks for the month are topped up to the new plan’s allowance.
