A site build is a lot of separate pieces of AI work - every section of every page, every photograph. Occasionally one of those pieces does not come through. This article explains what Buildly does about it, what you will see, and what happens to your sparks.
Buildly tries again first
When a piece of a build fails, Buildly does not start the whole site again. It retries only the pieces that failed, over several tries, before it gives up on them. Most problems are solved here without you ever knowing.
What you keep
Everything that was written stays written. A piece that still fails after the retries is simply left empty, and the rest of your site is ready to review. Your interview answers are saved too, so nothing you told Juno is lost.
What you will see
- A notification that your site is ready to review, saying how many parts are missing.
- On your site’s overview, a panel listing the parts that were not written, with a Write these again button.
- An email to your organization’s Owners, with a link back to the site.
When parts are still missing after the retries, Buildly also raises a support request automatically, so our team knows about it without you having to tell us.
Writing the missing parts
- Open your site’s overview.
- Find the panel listing the parts that were not written.
- Choose Write these again. Buildly writes just those parts; the rest of your site is left alone.
Writing the missing parts is AI work of its own, so it uses sparks like any other rewrite. You can also fill an empty part yourself in the editor, which is free.
What happens to your sparks
Sparks for AI work are set aside before it starts. If the work could not be started at all, those sparks are given back. A build also sets aside sparks for photographs it might draw, and gives back the ones for photographs it did not draw. Every spark set aside, used and given back appears on the Sparks page under Where they went, so you can see exactly what happened to each one.
If something on that list does not look right, open a request from Support and choose Billing - see Requesting help from our team.
For Owners and Admins: the Logs screen
Each site has a Logs screen listing every request and job for that site over the last day. It is mostly useful when you are working through a problem with our team.
