Buildly is free while in beta.
Photographers, filmmakers, designers, illustrators, florists, makers. Your work is the pitch. The site’s job is to show it well, say what you offer, and make inquiring about a date or a project simple.
A portfolio organized by project, so a couple planning a wedding can see a whole wedding, start to finish, not a random handful of frames.
Your packages or kinds of commission explained: what is included, how it works, how far ahead to ask.
Clients hire a person whose taste they trust. A few honest lines about you do more than a mission statement.
A form that asks for what you need to reply - the date, the place, the kind of project - so the first message is a useful one.

Every Buildly site is built from the pages its design defines, with three collections that grow with you: services, projects and blog posts. This is how your kind of business fits into them.
| What you have | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Each shoot or commission | Projects, one page each with its own photographs, shown together as your gallery - this is your portfolio |
| Packages or kinds of work - weddings, portraits, branding | Services, one page each |
| Your story and approach | Your about page |
| Inquiries | Your contact form. In Forms you can add a date field, so a couple tells you their wedding date in the first message |
| Behind the scenes, guides for clients | Blog posts, on designs that have a blog page |
Juno asks every business the same kinds of questions, in a conversation rather than a form, and phrases them her own way. Your answers are what make the site yours: the words are written from them, and the photographs Buildly chooses from its library are matched to what you say you do.
“What do you do, and who do you do it for?” is yours to answer in your own words. Juno will offer to draft why people choose you.
Everything the interview coversWhat do you do, and who do you do it for?
Documentary wedding photography, for couples who would rather not pose.
What are your main services?
Full-day weddings, elopements, and engagement shoots.
Which towns or areas do you cover?
Anywhere in the state, and further afield on request.
None of it is required to start - the build can begin once Juno knows your business name, what you do and where - but each one makes the first draft closer to finished.
During the build, Buildly places photographs from its library so no section is left blank. For a portfolio site, treat those as placeholders: replace them with your own work in the editor and add your shoots as projects. Your own uploads use no sparks.
Each shoot or commission is a project. On the Projects screen, describe it and upload its photographs; it gets a page of its own and joins your gallery. Buildly can then choose a cover and write captions from your own description of each photograph - that step uses sparks - and it never overwrites words you wrote yourself.
Yes. When you upload a photograph, Buildly removes the hidden information cameras and phones store inside it, such as where it was taken, before it is saved. Visitors see the picture and nothing else.
Not on Buildly - there is no shop, checkout or booking calendar on Buildly sites. If you sell or book through another service, point a button on your site to it in the editor.

Tell Juno what you make and who you make it for, add your own projects, and Buildly writes everything around them.
