Buildly is free while in beta.
Hair salons, barbers, nail bars, brow and lash studios, beauty therapists. Someone choosing a salon looks at three things - the treatments, the work, and the person who will do it - and then wants to know how to get an appointment.
What highlights involve, how long a facial takes, what to expect from a lash lift. Each treatment you list becomes a page that explains it.
Finished styles and before-and-afters, in your own photographs. It is the first thing a new client scrolls for.
Clients come back for a person. Your team, and what each of them is best at, can be introduced on your about page.
A phone number and a message form, and a sentence on whether you take walk-ins. Saying how you book saves a round of calls.
Treatments
Call to bookEvery Buildly site is built from the pages its design defines, with three collections that grow with you: services, projects and blog posts. This is how your kind of business fits into them.
| What you have | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Treatments - cut and color, nails, brows, facials | Services, one page per treatment, and a page that lists them all |
| Your stylists or therapists | Your about page. There is no separate team page, so name your team in the about copy in the editor |
| Finished looks and before-and-afters | The gallery, from projects you add with your own photographs |
| How you take appointments | Your contact page and form. In Forms you can add a dropdown so a client says which treatment they are asking about |
| Aftercare tips and seasonal looks | Blog posts, on designs that have a blog page |
Juno asks every business the same kinds of questions, in a conversation rather than a form, and phrases them her own way. Your answers are what make the site yours: the words are written from them, and the photographs Buildly chooses from its library are matched to what you say you do.
“What do you do, and who do you do it for?” is yours to answer in your own words. Juno will offer to draft why people choose you.
Everything the interview coversWhat are your main services?
Cuts and color, highlights, bridal hair, and brow shaping.
Why do people choose you rather than someone else nearby?
Nobody is rushed, and you see the same stylist every time.
What are your opening hours?
Appointments Tuesday to Saturday, and late on Thursdays until 8.
None of it is required to start - the build can begin once Juno knows your business name, what you do and where - but each one makes the first draft closer to finished.
Not online - Buildly sites have no booking calendar. Clients can call the number on your site or send a message through your contact form, which arrives in Leads. If you already use a booking app, you can point a button on your site to it in the editor.
No. The hours question is optional and made for exactly this. Skip it and your site shows no hours rather than invented ones; say that you work by appointment when Juno asks what you do.
There is no separate team page on a Buildly site, but your about page is yours to edit. Add your team’s names and what each of them is best at there, in the editor.
When Buildly builds your site it places photographs from its library, matched to what your business does, so no section is empty. Photographs of your own work are better: replace any of them in the editor, and add your best work to the gallery. Uploading your own uses no sparks.
