Buildly sets up your site’s forms when it builds the site, such as a contact form, a quote request or a newsletter sign-up, depending on the design. You can change what each form asks, how it looks, and who is told when it is sent.
Finding your forms
Open your site and choose Forms. Each form shows how many leads it has brought in and how many are Waiting for a reply, with Edit form and View leads. A form marked Hidden from site is not shown to visitors.
Changing the questions
- Choose Edit form. The form opens with three tabs: Questions, Look and Settings.
- On Questions, choose Add a question and pick its kind: Single line, Email, Phone, Number, Paragraph, Dropdown, One choice, Checkbox or Date.
- For each question, set its Label, Placeholder and Help text, and whether it is Required or Half width.
- Press Save.
A question you remove is kept under Removed; choose Restore to bring it back. Ask only what you need: every extra question is a reason for a visitor not to finish.
How it looks, and what visitors see after sending
On Look, start from a ready-made look or set colors, shape and spacing, and the Button text. Under After sending, the Thank-you message is what a visitor reads once their message has gone.
