Search engines read a few things on every page before anything else: its title, its description, and whether they are allowed to list it. Buildly checks those across your site and lists what needs attention, with the reason and the fix.
The SEO screen
Open your site and choose SEO. It has four tabs:
- Pages - every page, with its search settings
- To fix - what is wrong, where, and how to fix it
- Site-wide - what the whole site shares
- Search traffic - how people arrive from search
When there is something to fix, the top of the screen suggests where to Start here.
Working through the To fix list
- Filter by Critical, Warnings or Suggestions, or leave it on All.
- Open an issue and read Why it matters and how to fix it.
- Choose Edit page to fix it yourself, or, for a missing or weak title or description, Fix with Juno when Juno is available.
Juno shows what the page has now and what it suggests, with its length. Choose Use this to save it or Try again for another. Fixing a title or description with Juno uses no sparks. When everything is in order, the tab says Nothing to fix.
The Site-wide tab
The Checklist shows each area Buildly looks at and what it found. Below it, Site setup shows what search engines are told about the whole site: whether it is published, its address, its robots.txt file, its sitemap, and the structured data that describes your business - which Buildly writes for you from your business details.
Who can change things
Owners, Admins and Editors can change page titles, descriptions and indexing. To set them page by page, see Your pages, legal pages, and search settings.
